An exciting package, and new hair

Yesterday evening I took my dog outside. We were walking around the house and I realized I hadn't checked the mail yet. I opened it up, and a box was inside. I didn't remember ordering anything, so I took it inside and opened it up immediately. To my surprise, 18 GU gels were inside!!!

I kept trying to take a picture without my dog, but he would NOT leave me alone!

He was excited too. Thanks, GU for the gels!

Unfortunately, I will need to build back up to higher mileage, and won't be able to use them for quite awhile. But when I need them, I have lots!

In other news, I decided to try curling my hair with my straightner. I usually just use a curling iron, but wanted to try this out. I was thinking about buying one of those curling wands, but UGH I'm so sick of spending money on new hair tools! This is how it turned out-

Definitely not perfect, but it seems like it stays a lot better than a curling iron. I think with some practice it might be my go-to hair curling tool.

What do you use to curl your hair?

  1. Beautiful hair! and your dog is precious!!! I don't curl my hair much because it just won't hold. I have tried curlformers and when I have time they seem to work great with my hair.

    1. Allie I thought the same thing- but with a straightener it holds SO well! I hardly have to put hair spray on. It's magic!

  2. found your blog from blissful and domestic. I too have blogged about my fitness goals however it's hard for me to get back into the routine after the new year. I love your dog, that is exactly what my dog does when I'm trying to take pictures. Good luck on your new year goals/resolutions

  3. Your dog is precious!! What kind is he? (P.s. I noticed you comment back on your blog post when somebody leaves a comment. Anyway you might consider emailing people back instead? I just ask bc a lot of times people won't go back to a blog post they already read!)

    1. Hi Meredith! My dog is a malti-poo. He's about 9 months now, so growing up a bit! :)

Thanks for the input about emailing people that comment! I actually like to comment on the blog instead of emailing. I have my email on the page if they want to email me directly, and many people get emails when they get a response to a comment. Also, if someone asks a question, I like it to show up on the comment in case others have the same question.

Thanks again, and have a great day!
