"If it sounds too good to be true...

...it probably is."

My dad has always said this, and I found it to be wise this evening. When I bought groceries yesterday, I stumbled upon a product I had never seen before.

It's called "Arctic Zero" and it looked promising. Only 150 calories for a whole pint?! Cookies and cream?!?! I'm sold.*
So I took a look at the container tonight. It's fat free, gluten free, everything FREE! That's when I started to feel leery. But I took a bite. "Hey! This is pretty goo-EWWWWW!" Yeah, it took about that long for the disgusting taste to hit my taste buds. Drew wanted to try a bite. "This isn't that baICKKKK"
This was all we ate of it. The rest went into the sink to melt, and into the trash. Wasteful- yes. At least we weren't unrealistic thinking we might eat it some other time.

Dad, you were right.

He was also right about Walden Farms products. DISGUSTING!

* I know I should have known better. I've done this sort of thing MANY times before. I just wanted some ice cream, darn it!

What products have you tried that looked promising, and tasted terrible?
